Fairford Electronics fly's the flag'Down Under'

Since being founded in 1982, Fairford has always exported a significant proportion of its turnover, and today exports account for over 85% of total sales.

In the last year we have sold to over 50 different countries, "I am constantly asked where we send our soft starts, and it is often easier to explain where we don't

send soft starts." remarks Mark Shepherd, Managing Director.

For many years Fairford has worked with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the department of the UK government charged with promoting overseas trade. as recognition of Fairford's commitment to global markets, the Company was invited by UKTI to join the largest trade mission to Australia and New Zealand for over 10 years.

With the Australian economy avoiding recession, it is a good time for Fairford to strengthen relationships in this part of the World. Our partners in other cricket playing nations will also realise the significance of England winning the Ashes from Australia during the summer, and the friendly rivalry between the two countries.

During October and November, Mark joined representatives from 30 other UK companies. The companies were from a wide spectrum of industries, but all with the goal of promoting trade in these two very important markets.

The trip was mainly business, but with some informal and formal social events, from training distributors, to prawns on the barbie, and an invitation to attend a cocktail reception at the UK Consular General's residence.

During the trip Mark was able to spend time with new and established partners in the region and further enhance Fairford's standing in the region.

During 2010, Fairford is planning to hold similar distributor training events for partners in the USA, Middle East and the Far East. Please contact us if you would like to take part.

Fairford Electronics Ltd appoints Invertek (Australia) PTY as a Premier Distributor.

Fairford are pleased to announce that Invertek (Australia) have been appointed as the Premier Distributor in Australia. Based in Brisbane, Invertek (Australia) is owned and managed by Brett Masters and he and his team are busy expanding their distribution network across Australia, through groups of electrical and mechanical wholesalers.

During his recent trip Mark help training events for around 40, installers, contractors and salesmen. "It is great to have a representative of Fairford here, all the questions from the installers can be answered face to face!", explained Brett.

Invertek, whom have been a long standing partner of Fairford Electronics Ltd, have now placed 2 large stocking orders, and they believe they are well placed to benefit from the upturn in the Australian economy.

Fairford Electronics' Managing Director Mr Mark Shepherd ensuring close ties with their biggest distributor in India will grow and grow.

Mr Shepherd has just returned from a trip to Fairford's biggest distributor in India - Jayashree. Whilst there he opened their new manufacturing and sales building ensuring an even closer relationship in the future.

Whilst in India Mark supported Jayashrees sales efforts by visiting some of their key customers.

India is a rapidly growing economy, Fairford and Jayashree are well placed to capitalize on this growing market.

Fairford has cut the amount of waste that they send to land fill by up to 1/3.

With the help of a local recycling firm Fairford now recycles nearly all of its waste paper and cardboard. This enables Fairford to reduce the amount of rubbish that is thrown away by up to 1/3.
